FlixBus Launches new summer coach service for Brisbane, Byron and Gold Coast

Brisbane, Australia - FlixBus, the innovative travel brand known for its green buses and sustainable and affordable travel solutions, is launching an additional summer coach service from Brisbane to Byron Bay, for Australians to make the most of their summer travel. 

The new coach service between Brisbane, Brisbane Airport, the Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise), Gold Coast Airport (Bilinga), and Byron Bay will complement the existing daily service already running between Sydney and Brisbane, also serving the popular destinations. So, passengers can enjoy the flexibility of three daily departures each way. 

The new line will run twice daily each way until 15 February. 

Tickets between Brisbane and Byron Bay start at a promotional fare of just AU$9.99. The promotion is limited to availability and will run until 30 January, for all travel until 15 February.

The new launch comes at a time when cost-of-living pressures are impacting Australians travel plans. According to Tourism Transport Forum, Australian summer travel plans were impacted by the cost-of-living crisis this year: While 74% of Australians planned to travel this summer, 25% planned to take a shorter trip, 20% said they couldn’t afford to travel and 13% planned to wait for deals or discounts.
