Safety on board is standard at FlixBus, not least thanks to technological innovations. All of our buses are fitted with the latest electronic assistance systems that support all safety measures on board. ESP, emergency brake assistants, lane assistants, adaptive cruise control, ambient light sensors, end-outline marker lamps and more are standard safety features on our FlixBus coaches to make your bus trip even safer. All of our coaches are CITA tested so you are guaranteed a safe trip. Your FlixBuses are frequently checked to ensure the highest safety measures are achieved.

Our FlixBus drivers will get you there safely - day and night

Every one of our drivers strive to maintain the high quality service that we pride ourselves in offering. Our drivers are fully trained and have regular health and safety training, meaning that they are always prepared for any traffic and/or travel problems that may occur. FlixBus follows a strict policy that requires our drivers to take regular rest breaks and the most appropriate route for each journey. With GPS tracking, we can check driving and resting periods and see the location of our buses at all times. FlixBus night-time trips are served by a two-person crew, and drivers switch regularly. The drivers on these trips are also specially trained for nightline operation. You will notice these policies on longer coach journeys when there are two of our drivers on board. Your safety will always be our main priority.

Your personal safety with FlixBus

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to plan your journey to your bus stop, arrive at least 15 minutes before your departure time. All of our drivers are happy to help load your luggage - be sure to check our luggage policy so your personal belongings can be stowed safely and securely! Each of our passengers contribute to ensure that all safety measures are met on board at all times. You must wear your seatbelt at all times and always pay attention to any announcements that your driver may have before or during your trip. We welcome all ages on board our coaches. Please ensure that any children travelling with FlixBus are securely fastened in a child or booster seat for the duration of the journey. All seatbelts should be fastened at all times.
