Can you take your bike on every FlixBus?

Most FlixBuses are bike-friendly. Availability varies by route and country, and some countries don’t allow bikes on buses. Before adding a bike to your booking, please check the regulations and instructions below.

Bike transportation

  • Max. weight: 20 kg
  • No e-bikes, tandems, tricycles or folding bikes

How to book a spot for your bike?

  1. Add your bike when selecting passengers during the booking process to see available trips with bike transportation options.
  2. Book the trip for you and your bike.
  3. If a trip isn’t reservable, the bus can’t carry bikes or the slots are full.

Travelling with a folding bike?

If your bike is foldable and stored in its own bag, it needs to be booked as ‘special luggage’ and considered as such: 

  • Special Luggage policy applies
  • Max. dimensions: 240 cm (L+W+H)
  • Only one special luggage item per person
  • No e-bikes, tandems or tricycles

If you have a folding bike, add it as ‘special luggage’ in the ‘Extras’ section at checkout. If this option is not available, special luggage cannot be booked on this trip.

  • In our FlixShops or with our official ticket resellers
  • Online after completing your ticket purchase via ‘Manage My Booking’

Can my bicycle travel without me?

For safety reasons, bikes can only travel with their owner.
